Service Opportunities

Card-Making Team:

This creative group makes cards to send to Hope family members who are celebrating a birthday or anniversary or who need a day brightener!  You can participate in one or more of the following ways: crafting cards (with the help of an instructor), addressing and mailing the cards, or supplying postage.

Care Team:

Everyone needs a little help now and then!  This group offers support and encouragement by providing meals to those experiencing stressful circumstances (e.g., illness, injury, moving, welcoming a new baby).  You can be part of this important ministry if you are able to provide an occasional meal or gift card.

Drama Team:

Hope’s drama ministry presents dramas that relate the theme of the morning service to the experience and needs of attendees, preparing them to connect more personally and meaningfully to the message.  This team meets once a month at the Resource Center.

Greeting Team:

All you need is a ready smile and an extra 20 minutes one Sunday per month to join this service group!  Those serving in this  ministry help people feel welcome and comfortable as they arrive for the Sunday service.

Nursery Volunteer:

We’re excited to announce a new service opportunity at Hope!  If you have a heart for young children and would like to help provide a safe and welcoming place for them each Sunday, we could use 20 minutes of your time each month!  There are several tasks that need to be done on a weekly basis from 10:00 - 10:20 a.m.: cleaning and arranging supplies and toys, setting out snacks, and interacting with children and their parents as they arrive.  This time-frame allows you to meet the needs of kids and still participate in the worship service.  What a deal!

Prayer Team:

The Prayer Team exists to serve the body by providing immediate prayer coverage for urgent or emergency needs as well as requests that are on-going.  Confidentiality is respected.

Promiseland:

Step into a classroom on Sunday morning and you’ll find a room full of activity, curiosity and potential!  You’ll also find a number of volunteer opportunities.  If you’d like to explore the possibility of becoming a teacher, assisting a teacher, helping with a production or working with a child who has unique needs, we would be happy to share more information.

Special Events Team:

This team meets throughout the year to plan events (e.g., Thanksgiving dinner and Sunday luncheons) that provide opportunities for people at Hope to have fun and to fellowship with one another in a non-threatening setting.  The team also supports Hope events (e.g., Hope’s annual meeting and retreats) by lending a hand with details related to meals and refreshments.

Transformation Team:

Simply put, we need your help!  Several people are needed each Sunday to transform the school into our church home and then back again.  We’re looking for people who are able to spend either one hour after church (tear-down), or a couple of hours before church (set-up) once a month.  You will work with an experienced team lead who will know what needs to happen, when it needs to happen and how to make it happen!  Tasks before the service range from loading and unloading equipment to making coffee to arranging classrooms.

Usher Team:

The duties of ushers include collecting and counting the offering and taking attendance each Sunday, representing approximately a 15 minute commitment.  Each usher is scheduled to serve for a month at a time, rotating one month on and approximately two months off.
